Simply Spectacular 1965 Ford Mustang GT Fastback
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive “K Code” 1965 Ford Mustang GT 2 Door Fastback with Ivy Green exterior paint and a black Pony vinyl interior. You’ll find a period correct 289 cid V-8 engine under the hood with 4 barrel carburetor, a dual exhaust, power front disc brakes, Rally Pack gauges and a 4-speed manual transmission. This rare example is in very nice restored condition throughout as well and it has been driven a mere 1,008 miles since the drivetrain was rebuilt. It would make an excellent addition to any serious collection since this is a truly spectacular muscle car.
Almost Entirely Original w/ Period-Correct 289 V-8 Engine
This beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang GT Fastback was locally built in San Jose, California on April 15th, 1965 as a rare high performance K-code performance GT version. While we don’t have a complete owner history of this amazing classic, the current owner informs us that he has ample documentation on hand to show that the 289 motor is period correct and receipts from the recent rebuild. We also know that this rare muscle car was repainted once in the factory correct color about a decade ago and it appears that the Pony interior and the Rally gauges are original. Very little has been changed over the past five decades in this nicely preserved classic muscle car.
In terms of condition, this 1965 Ford Mustang GT Fastback has excellent body lines with only minimal imperfections to be found. The factory chrome is in fantastic condition and so is the primarily original interior- most would consider this a high end driver that’s ready to be shown and enjoyed around town today. The ride quality is tremendous with nice acceleration, handling and stopping power.
An Absolutely Incredible Find for One Lucky Collector
Overall, this rare and highly desirable 1965 Ford Mustang GT 2 Door Fastback is a tremendous survivor that would make a fantastic addition to any serious collection. Since it will appeal to several types of collectors, come see it today before it’s off the open market forever- this one definitely won’t last long. For more information about this vehicle, visit our Pleasanton, California showroom, give us a call at 925-238-7196, or email us at [](mailto:). Be sure to mention Stock # P10561as well.

We strongly encourage any and all buyers who are unable to view the vehicle in-person to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection (by an independent party of their choosing) prior to the purchase. Given the age of many of our vehicles, it is extremely difficult to adequately describe all aspects of each vehicles condition in the limited space available and we have learned that these Pre-Purchase Inspections are helpful to all parties involved.
The information presented for this vehicle is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed as a basis of purchase. The Buyer should make a thorough, independent inspection and investigation of the vehicle prior to purchase.
