Description

We have just added to our extensive exotic car inventory a beautiful 1940 Ford Custom Coupe in Cashmere and Viva la Red with Beige and Cream leather and only 989 miles. This '40 features numerous subtle modifications such as a reprofiled hood, frenched hedlamps, door corners rounded, one piece windshield, the rear fenders were welded to the body to eliminate the seam, rounded decklid corners, recessed license plate and more. Inside, leatherwork covers Lincoln Mark VIII seats, custom door panels, a custom headliner and more. The custom fiberglass dash features Dolphin gauges, a Kenwood CD player, billet Vintage Air controls and billet air vents. A billet and leather banjo steering wheel bolts to a chromed tilt column. The dash and inside window frames are painted to match the exterior. Under the hood is a GM LS1 V8, again painted to match, running a billet accessory drive and hooked to a 4L65E automatic overdrive transmission. Braided stainless hoses and billet fluid containers are just about the only other parts visible in this extra clean and shaved engine bay. Underneath, it's all Cashmere paint covering the frame, suspension and floor pans. Power rack and pinion steering and a Heidt's SuperRide II suspension are up front while a TCI parallel leaf spring conversion holds the Ford 9 inch rear. Wilwood disc brakes reside at all four corners behind Foose wheels. This gorgeous custom has fewer than 1000 miles on it since completion. It has class wins at the Grand National Roadster Show, the Pismo Beach Classic, Las Vegas Super Chevy Show and is both a calendar car and a Goodguys Goodtime Gazette feature car.
