This GT Fastback is a true, verifiable GT. NO RUST. Recently rebuilt, the motor runs excellent and cool whether at idle or highway speeds. Idles smoothly and reliably.C4 Shifts smoothly without hesitation.289 CI V8 cruises nicely and growls satisfyingly when given the gas and allowed to breathe.The original, GT specific Dual Exhaust sounds great and pairs perfectly with this First Edition Mustang GT.Very quick, nimble car thanks to combination of the GT Performance Handling package and strong 289 V8 with performance 4 Barrel Carb.
This GT Fastback was previously lightly restored to Concours correct appearance and condition. Garaged every day since, becoming a rare weekend driver. In truth, the car is very original and did not require any extensive repair or attention thus retaining its very original interior and undercarriage. Original body, sheet metal, floors, trunk, engine bay, all original.
Will come with all or most appearance correct under hood bolt on parts if a return to complete stock display is desired (including FoMoCo Intake Manifold, AutoLite Carburetor, distributor, wires, Gold Styled Valve Covers, WORKING Original York AC compressor (currently removed), Original Gold Styled Air Filter housing, etc.) The GT is currently fitted with New Carburetor, New High rise Intake, and electric ignition for modern cruising purposes. Currently fitted with original styled, drop-in / no cut AM FM RADIO however will come with the original (and working) factory AM only Radio.
