Show winning 1940 Ford Standard Coupe Street Rod, which is 100% all Henry Ford Steel and built by the current owner. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best. This ’40 Ford is a solid 5!

The Ford came from Virginia and was bought in 2007. It was then completely taken apart and re-built from the frame up using all new or NOS parts. It was completed in the summer of 2011 and has only logged about 2500 miles. Most of the shows the Ford has attended it was trailered. So, the miles were spent cruising around the local ‘hot spots’. Otherwise, it was driven to local shows in the Southern Maryland area.

The House Of Colors ‘True blue’ 2-stage urethane color is truly outstanding. As you can see from the video and photos the body is very straight and the only areas which required any repair were the bottom outside edges of each door. No bondo or welded in panels were necessary.

The stock 1940 Ford frame was pulled, and a complete TCI unit was installed including a Mustang II rack & pinion front-end and a 9” Ford differential.

The car is a pleasure to drive, runs cool, and everything works, except the electric speedometer and odometer. The connection was made in the harness, but it does not work.

Owner is selling for personal reasons.

Original glass except for the (2) rear quarter windows and windshield.

Exterior chrome is either new or replated.

Original bench seat stripped, and re-stuffed.

Mercedes-Benz grade carpeting in cabin & trunk

Ididit tilt steering column with column shift.

Panasonic AM/FM/CD player located behind the original radio grill speaker is in panel behind the front seat.

Hand cranked windows, vent windows work too

Trunk access panel for battery and wiring

Factory original trunk ‘pockets’ and gas tank sending unit access panel under trunk carpeting.
