It’s probably only putting down about 370hp to the wheels as the block is a ‘89 roller 5.0 block stock with mechanical lifters still, and only upgrades to block are dual-row timing chain and b-cam. But the car is ready for a lot more power.
Car might have had 100k on it before resto.... block and car post resto has less than 2k miles on it. Has been on one road trip from Dallas to mid-Oklahoma and back with NO issues. Car is driven less than 50 miles/year.
This classic needs a very tiny bit of work (needs windshield reseal (i’ve noticed hearing air seeping through around A-pillar lately)....new header gaskets (#1 port leaks a little until she’s warmed up) and new lower control arm bushings in rear (car is so solid and straight that on acceration you can feel it veer to one angle a bit).....after investigation found lower ca bushings to be worn out and bushing material falling out..easy fix.....and needs a nice paint job (1st/main photo shows current condition of exterior paint...other exterior photos are from a few years ago) but it’s in great shape for a 37 year old car... runs and drives... inspected, tagged, and ready to drive off!
Entire underbody has been stripped and recoated with Rustleum gloss black!
The roll cage is painted with 7 coats, wet-sanded in between each coat. The harness bar is power coated in silver by a professional powder coater.
Rear diff is also painted silver with purple flake...7 coats and wet-sanded in between each coat.
Also this car has a lot of custom lighting..mostly LED. Has an underhood lighting system built into functional hood scoop. Even has a push button dual control lamp underneath rear that i’ve used during the two times i’ve waxed the undercarraige!! Yes... that’s what i said.
All lighting circuits are on custom installed separately wired/fused circuits. All of the power and signal custom wiring in car was done by professional a/v installer.
The front clip has been removed and rebuilt with reinforcements to make it much much stronger. The lower air separator (plastic piece under radiator) has been remade to original specs but twice as thick to reinforce entire front clip and resist warping or movement.
The rear bumper cover has a custom installed reinforcement between it and the bumper to raise it and correct the “bumper sag” usually associated with this body style.
And of course...it’s got He-Man!!! Riding a saddle on the ASD Drift brake handle! The drift brake is wrapped in a custom protective cage so any riders won’t bump into the brake system or handle.
I have owned this car since 2003 and have receipts and manuals for almost everything!!
I also have a mass plethora of before/after restoration photos from the last 15 years of work done to the car!
I have inspected the buck tag and found this to be a fully stamped and original “GT” car.
SUPER LOW RESERVE!! Bid now with confidence!! You can drive it or trailer it away!
