Up for auction is a 1964 Ford Falcon 2-Door Hardtop. I will start by saying that this car is a real pleasure and a blast to drive and cruise around in. The car starts right up and runs strong, shifts smooth, and handles like its on rails. This Falcon is a real good car. It is a southern rust-free car and its dialed in and its turn key ready to cruise.
The body is straight and the gaps including door gaps, hood, trunk, and all panels fit excellent. The paint is slick and smooth, and it has a deep mirror finish as you can see in the pictures below. It is high quality. The color is Rangoon Red and that is the original factory born color to this car. It is a drop dead gorgeous second-generation Falcon for sure. The body molding and roof and window trim have been polished and look great. The glass is tinted. The stance is just right sitting on a set of American Racing Torq Thrust Ds with a set of Uniroyal Tiger Paw Radials (215/70R14s all 4 corners). It has dual polished slash cut exhaust tips exiting the rear.
The interior has been custom restored for performance driving while retaining mostly a factory look. It has bucket seats with a center console and 4-on-the-floor with a Hurst shifter. Other features include a wood-grain steering wheel, in-dash Pro Comp fuel gauge and tachometer, and Sunpro hang-on temp/oil PSI/volt gauges under dash. It has the original factory AM radio in dash (not working) and a hidden CD player stereo in the glove box. The miles on the speedometer show 1,143. All the interior lights as well as the outside lights and turn signals work as designed. It has new seat belts front and rear. The horn works also.
The motor is Ford 289 date coded 4K9R. It is a 1964 289 however not original to the car. The engine was rebuilt with performance in mind. I believe
and was told that it has a full set of roller rocker arms however I have not had the valve covers off to look for myself. It has Edelbrock E-Street SA aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer series polished aluminum intake, Holley 600 CFM carburetor w/electric choke, ceramic coated headers, MSD distributor with Ford Racing plug wires, MSD 6A box, polished aluminum water pump, Champion polished aluminum radiator, and its topped off with Edelbrock aluminum valve covers with matching breather. I dont know which cam is in the motor, but it has a great sound. As stated above the transmission is a T10. The numbers on the transmission are passenger side T10 H-1 W.G. DIV W-1 (H29), driver side T10-148B W.G. DIV
The underside of this 64 Falcon is solid and rust free from what I can see (pictures below)
it has coil over shocks front and rear, solid stainless exhaust system, new fuel tank, and an aluminum oil pan.
Clear and clean title in hand.
