HERE IS A 1953 FORD CRESTLINE WITH THE BEST PARTS MONEY COULD BUY AND 5.0 WINDSOR MUSTANG POWER, THAT WAS OWNED BY A LITTLE OLD MAN AND THEN US. THE REASON FOR SELLING THE CAR IS SIMPLE. I HAVE QUIT MY JOB AND BOUGHT A CATAMARAN TO SAIL AROUND THE WORLD WITH MY WIFE AND DOG. THIS CAR IS A 5.0 HO MUSTANG WITH A 53 FORD BODY! READ THE DETAILS BELOW =]

WE NEED TO SELL THE CARS AND THE HOUSE IN ORDER TO LEAVE AND LIVE EVERYBODY'S DREAM AND TO SAIL AWAY! I HAD PLANS TO PUT A BIGGER ENGINE IN IT BUT, SAILING AROUND THE WORLD IS DEFINITELY A LARGER TASK AND THE CAR WON'T FIT ON THE BOAT. =]
THIS CAR IS HOW I MET MY WIFE. SHE BOUGHT IT WITH THE INTENTIONS OF FIXING IT UP WITH HER FATHER AND THEN IT GOT STOLEN! SHE PUT UP ADS AND FLIERS AND I RESPONDED TO ONE OF THEM STATING THAT CHIP FOOSE PROBABLY TOOK IT. ( sorry Chip!) SHE GOT THE CAR BACK AFTER THE POLICE FOUND IT ABANDONED IN A BAD NEIGHBORHOOD. I VOLUNTEERED TO HELP HER FIX IT. WE LATER GOT MARRIED BY ELVIS IN LAS VEGAS ON HALLOWEEN. OUR WEDDING PARTY WAS IN COSTUME, MY BROTHER WAS BEETLEJUICE AND MY UNCLE BRIAN WAS OZZIE! AND MY BRIDE WAS A PRINCESS! THE CAR HAS BEEN TOTALLY GONE THROUGH AND ONLY NEEDS MINOR TOUCHES, LIKE A RADIO ( never got to that).
WE DECIDED TO BUILD THIS CAR AS A RAT ROD BUT A LOT NICER. I HAPPEN TO WORK IN THE AUTO INDUSTRY AND ASKED MY BUDDY RICK BACON OF THE TV SHOW MUSCLE CAR TO WORK HIS MAGIC AND PAINT SOME OLD SCHOOL FLAMES ON THE CAR AFTER WE GOT THE FLAT BLACK PATINA PAINTWORK DONE. HE AGREED AND WE SHIPPED THE CAR TO NASHVILLE.
THE 302 THAT WAS IN IT WAS TIRED SO WE REPLACED IT LAST YEAR WITH A BRAND NEW ATK GT40P ENGINE WITH AN X303 CAM AND ALL OF THE GOODIES. THE AOD TRANS WAS REBUILT BY TRANSMISSIONS PLUS IN KISSIMMEE ( THANKS ALAN AND JESSE!) THE ENGINE SETS OFF EVERY CAR ALARM IN THE PARKING GARAGES AND SCARES MOST EVERYBODY WHEN YOU FIRE IT UP AT THE LOCAL CRUISE NIGHTS!
AL, FROM CONTROL FREAKS SUSPENSION, WELDED IN THE COMPETITION ENGINEERING LADDER BARS AND COIL OVER SETUP, AND DID A FANTASTIC JOB!
THERE HAVE BEEN A MILLION MODIFICATIONS DONE TO THIS CAR AND WAY TOO MUCH TO LIST. IT REALLY NEEDS A GOOD HOME AND HAS HAD A LOT OF TALENTED HANDS MAKE IT WHAT IT IS.
THE CAR IS A FRANKENSTEIN OF THE BEST PARTS THAT MONEY COULD BUY AND HAS A VERY UNIQUE LOOK AT ANY CAR SHOW. AND ONCE AGAIN, YES, THE RUST AND PRIMER SPOTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THERE, AND THAT IS WHAT MAKES THE CAR WHAT IT IS. THE EXTERIOR WAS DONE TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE SOMEBODY BUILT IT FOR A 1950'S CAR SHOW AND LEFT IT IN THE BARN FOR 70 YEARS. THE DRIVETRAIN IS ALL NEW STUFF AND WORKS WELL. EVEN DON GARLITS ENJOYED CHECKING IT OUT AT THE BILLETPROOF SHOW NOT TOO LONG AGO (HI DON AND CHRIS! )


There are rust bubbles on the bottoms of the doors and a hole in the rear wheel arch area on the passenger side. There is also a "whisky dent" in the passenger door too. I just want to be clear about all of the patina and look of the car. If you are looking for a 100 point restoration, look somewhere else please. This was built this way on purpose. Gas Monkey style.

FYI.....The sale of "Maybelline" ( the 53 Ford) pays for the bricks of Tesla batteries that are needed to power the electronic in the catamaran.

I will be doing a how-to video on converting your boat to run the electronics on Tesla car batteries too. We may reach out to a local college to teach some of the Electrical Engineering students how to do this as well.

Answer to question:

The converter is a 3800 stall B&M and the transmission is a fresh AOD reman with a drilled valve body. Red clutches were used as well as the better drum. It also has the Lokar kickdown cable kit. Good luck bidding!
