1937 Ford pickup
Description
For your consideration is a very original 1937 Ford pickup. I have owned this truck for 15 years, having bought it from the niece of the original owner in December, 2001. I have a clear Texas title in my name. The truck began life in Minnesota on a grain farm and came to Texas in the 1980s after the original owner died. It then went to his niece in Houston. All the sheet metal, engine and transmission are original to this flathead Ford V-8, with the 85 horse engine. The engine number and title match. We have driven this truck all over Texas and have had no problems, we've always gotten home just fine. This truck's picture is on the cover of the May/June, 2008 issue of the V-8 Times and includes an article on it's history. That magazine will be included with the truck. All the tires are in very good shape. Over the years I have replaced plugs, tires, had the clutch relined and added floaters to the brakes, which are the original mechanical type. The truck is the original 6 volt, positive ground and always starts right up for me. All the lights work, including the fog lights on the front. The horn works from time to time and I think there is a grounding issue and I'm not very good at tracking down electrical matters. We are about 40 miles north of Houston and just off Interstate 45 and your personal inspection is welcome. The truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks for looking.
