Description

This 1967 Ford Mustang has a bit of sleeper style to it. After all, it has a very classic and stock color combo, but only when you dig a little deeper do you discover upgrades like the A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and big 390 V8 with plenty of go-fast goodies.
Red and black Mustangs are great, but there's something distinguishing about Springtime Yellow. It's one of those '67 factory colors you love to see simply because it's always a standout. Plus, this factory-correct hue is a great color to really highlight the contrasting black vinyl roof and matching pinstripe. It's a distinguished presentation, and the finish is in a driver's quality car. So this one keeps a low profile with a style that's meant to underestimate it performance upgrades (more on that in a moment.) And while we like this subtitle look, it won't take much for this to show off its wild pony nature if you so desire. After all, Ford's 1967 Mustang update was done with the extra overhang and deeper sculpted sides to give the Mustang a bit of a meaner look. And this is a complete and clean coupe with Mag 500 wheels.
If you like the way the black roof looks against the exterior yellow, they you'll love the full black interior. This was given a nice restoration later in life so that everything feels complete and clean. There was an effort here to keep it looking quite stock everywhere from the restyled 1967 steering wheel, to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes. But a coupe like this was also meant to be enjoyed in modern times. That's why you have subtle additions for a better driver's car, like the cup holders. And we all love a classic coupe with air conditioning blowing cold with modern R134a refrigerant.
This was a pivotal year in the evolution of the Mustang. It was the first time you could get something more than small block power from the factory, and this upgraded powerhouse celebrates that legacy correct with a 390 cubic-inch V8. They even try to give it a bit of a factory look with the Edelbrock valve covers panted blue and the correct callout on the bright air topper. But really this is much more than what the factory offered. It's a performance build that inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor and exhales with authority as long tube headers add power and rumble to the dual exhaust. And you can see from the crisp presentation that this has the right supporting components, including a newer coil, good hoses, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. This is a strong V8 that fires up with gusto. And this upgraded powerplant is hooked to a stout C6 three-speed automatic transmission, and it feeds a newer driveshaft on its way to a Ford 9-inch rear. So it's a quality build from the pistons to the pavement. Plus, the wide BF Goodrich T/As and upgraded four-wheel disc brakes give you firm control over it all.
This is a detail-oriented classic that looks like a cool cruiser inside and out, and gives you serious extra pony power under the hood. It makes for something unique and fun that you know is irresistible, call today!
