Description

1992 Ford Mustang GT Convertible Custom. No expense spared build. This custom build was built for show and go! Starting with a low mile, rust free, straight GT convertible, the car was taken apart and everything from front to back was upgraded or addressed.
The engine compartment was smoothed, all the holes filled. The engine was freshened with 10.5.1 pistons, SVO AluminumHeads with roller rockers and roller cam. BBK MAF, BBK adj fuel pressure, BBK headers, Edelbrock intake, and 75MM throttle body, Aluminum pulleys including underdrive, MSD billet distributor, A/M alum radiator etc. A high performance clutch and flywheel mounts to the Borg Warner T5 5 Speed with a short shifter. Straight dual exhaust, no cats, a crossover pipe to dual flowmaster make this car sound awesome! An aluminum driveshaft was added with a driveshaft loop, to the 4:10 posi rear end with strange axles and a trick flow rear cover. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and mounted in a battery box and a shutoff switch hidden behind license plate.
The suspension and brakes have all been upgraded as well! Custom K member, Eibach springs front and rear, larger sway bars front and rear, welded in subframe connectors, and adjustable strut mounts. The rear has a tubular 4 link setup. Also has a fast ration rack and pinon steering. A full Cobra 5 lug brake conversion with larger slotted rotors, stainless lines, and adjustable brake bias was also installed! Beautiful Shelby 17" Aluminum wheels with newer Falken Azenis 245/45/17 up front and 275/40/17 out rear.
The body is laser straight with an excellent show quality paint job. All trim is excellent, including all weatherstripping, lights, glass, and moldings. A Cervini fiberglass cowl hood was added. The top is in new condition. And a rear spoiler. This car gets tons of looks!
The interior consists of Corbeau seats and racing harness. A bolt in roll bar with fire extinguisher. Ford racing guages, including, tach with light, water temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure, volts. The interior is in excellent condition with exception to some wear on the driver racing seat. All power windows and locks work great. The convertible top goes up and down without issues, there is a nice tonneau cover for the top, although not in the picture. There is an Alpine CD/mp3 player in dash, with a Rockford Fosgate P4004 amp in the trunk and an aftermarket alarm. Also a Fast Air / Fuel monitoring system on dash.
This car runs and drives great! Smooth, fast, no funny noises, no gear grinding etc. The A/C blows ice cold!
I'll list all the issues I can see.. the fuel guage stopped working, the heater is not hooked up, the windshield wipers are not on the car, the fuel pressure guage got moisture inside, but still works, the tires will rub a bit when turned too sharp, there is a small scratch on passenger door ( barely noticeable) The speedometer is not calibrated. It is off by about 10 to 15 mph. The odometer currently shows 5000 miles. I was told it was reset to 0 when they built it, but the car is believed to have around 45k on it.
This is a really fun car to drive! Runs on pump gas. You can drive it to shows or to the track or both! Email me with any questions.
The car is being listed by an agent for a Kansas dealer, however the car is currently located in Arizona. You may be responsible for taxes in your own state.
