Selling a 1979 Ford F-100 that has been expertly restored as a Free Wheelin' tribute. Was frame off restored 4 years ago with the utmost attention to detail (at Mike's Classic Cars, Elkhorn, Nebraska), documenting and replicating all paint markings, correct decals, correct finishes, etc. Every nut, bolt, mechanical part and assembly was refinished or rebuilt to better than new. It is believed to be the nicest Ford truck of this era restored to date, and packs a punch with a 521 stroker big block dressed as a factory stock 460 (dyno'd at 424hp and 606 lb-ft torque). Behind it is a fresh built C6 automatic transmission going back to a 9 inch rear end with 3.00 gears and a limited slip differential.Underhood: Engine started as a 460 (Dec. 1978 casting) and was rebuilt with a 521 Stroker rotating assembly and a hydraulic roller camshaft (fully documented). All paint markings, decals, and other details were replicated.Exterior: Rust free Colorado truck was painted 1979 Ford Bright Yellow, Free Wheelin' stripes were reproduced using an original NOS set with the utmost attention to detail.Wheels: Correct 5 hole forged aluminum, refinished to better than factory specs.Interior: Door panels, carpet, and headliner are correct Oxblood Burgundy.
