This auction is for a 1941 Ford Panel. I do have a clean and clear title for it in my name. When the Air Ride front suspension installation began, the VIN on the front of the frame appears to have been ground down. It may still be visible somewhere, but it's not super obvious.
This was a running and driving street rod and then it was dismantled for “improvements”. Sadly, like so many projects, a lot of disassembly was done, but the major reassembly never materialized. It currently is a roller with no motor/trans. It has a rear end and the axles are installed, but there isn't a pumpkin or axle bearings.
It's definitely a picture car, looks better in pics than in person, but I think it's a good solid car. That's why I bought it in the first place. Just don't expect to drop in a motor and start driving it. It'll need some touch up body work at a minimum or a total paint job to be nice again, plus glass (included), wipers, etc. The interior in the rear is actually kind of cool. I was planning on using it as is. I'm not sure if you can see it, but there are roses sand blasted into the rear windows which give it a classy look. The interior in the front is basically just a pair of bucket seats, no carpet or door panels, and some new floor pans that are just sitting in place.
The Air Ride suspension was tacked in the front, but not finished. All of those parts that I received with the car are included. Some of the Air Ride has been roughed in (front air bag mounts and spring mounts) and the rest of the kit is still in boxes (along with some other spare parts). There are wooden blocks in place of the air bags right now and there is a Ford 9" rear end housing in the rear, so the car can be rolled around.
I have many additional pics if you'd like to see more. I am also happy to take close ups of any spots you would be interested in.
Oh, and as everyone always wants to know why a car is being sold, I bought a 56 panel that I would rather build instead. So, this one needs to go to fund the 56 project.
I have this auction listed as “Pickup Only", however, I do occasionally go on road trips and may be able to save you some money on delivery. Just send me a question with your location and we can go from there. Thanks for looking!
