In 1957, Ford introduced a coupe utility in the United States that was similar to what they were already selling in Australia. The Ranchero is powered by a 398 Windsor Stroker and has the following internally: Scat 9000 crank and forged I beam rods, Racetech forged pistons with 10.7 compression, Hastings file fit Moly rings, Eelbrock Performer RPM heads, Comp Cams XR282 H/R cam, Comp Cams Hydraulic roller lifters, Comp Cams Chromoly pushrods, Comp Cams Pro Magnum Rocker arms, MSD Pro Billet Distributor, MSD 6ALL ignition controller, MSD blaster coil, Edelbrock Victor Jr Intake, Fitech Mean Street 800hp fuel injection, Fitech fuel command center, Hooker Super comp headers. The block was deck to square, line bored and blue printed. The owner has over $9,000 in the engine alone.
The FB Performance Pro A03 overdrive with optional wide ratio gear set and deep pan is new along with FB Performance Custom Torque Converter with Hurst Quarterstick with pistol grip. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch with posi trac and 3.90 to 1 gear ratio. The car also has front and rear disc brake conversion. The car is finished in House of Kolor "Tangerine Pearl" over white base. The car rides on American Racing Torque Thrust2 sith 17x8 in front and 17x10 in the rear. This car is set up to go and it handles well.
