Description

When a classic 1978 Ford F-100 is a lifted 4x4, you're already going to take notice. But when this is also a gives you a bed liner, V8 power, new off-road tires, and more, you soon realize that this is a lot of truck for the money.
We love the 1978 pickup because it introduced the bolder F-series front end that only lasted two years. So the beefy, blocky face looks particularly right on a lifted 4x4. This was born a silver truck, and it was given a respray later in life to keep the metallic element looking good in the sunshine. But don't worry, it's nothing too fancy that will make you nervous to use this pickup to the fullest. There's some nice added shine from the chrome bumpers and new ProComp 15-inch wheels. But the feature we bet you'll really like the most is the full liner paint in the bed. It means getting work done in this classic without showing the scars.
The interior has quite an attractive layout. There's a nice red bench seat and coordinating lower dash for a good splash of vibrant color. But higher traffic areas, like the door panels, dash pad, and carpeting remain a black that shows less dirt. You've got the right essentials in this stock-style setup, including a good heater and factory gauge package. But they did also add the right upgrades. The steering wheel is an updated wood-rimmed unit with a nice grip. Plus, the radio is now an AM/FM/CD unit with Bluetooth and a USB input to charge your cell phone. So you really get to update your driving music.
Powering this pickup is Ford's 351 cubic-inch V8. This hardy motor also has some nice added flair with polished valve covers and a matching air grabber. The V8 fires up readily, gives a nice tune to the dual exhaust, and the four-speed manual transmission gives you full control over the motor. The two-speed 4x4 transfer case combines with the raised suspension, updated springs/shocks, and new Cooper Evolution M/T tires for true off-road ability. Plus, there's power steering and power brakes with front discs to make you on-road adventures easy, too.
This is the classic truck that still gets the job done, and it looks good doing it. So if you love the right combination of distinction and ability, call today!
