1966 Mustang GT

Description

This is an original May 13, 1966, numbers matching Wimbledon White Mustang GT from the San Jose, CA plant, unit 200624. This 2 door hardtop GT has been in my garage for over 27 years. This car has not been out in the sun or rain for 27 years, it has been in dry storage. The standard interior, black crinkle vinyl and black rosette vinyl interior was restored about 24 years ago to original, only the seats, carpet and door panels were restored. The rest of this GT’s interior is the original interior from the San Jose California plant. The 289 4v V8 engine on this car has never been touched, still running on leaded fuel. The axle is 3.00:1, conventional. Trans is a 4-speed manual. There is some minor rust on the passenger side right front lower part of the fender and also on the driver’s side rear panel. Other than that, this car is a barn find. A few things to look for, an original Mustang GT, other than the matching VIN pictured along with door tag, has a U shape curve under the speedometer when dash is pulled and also two bolts under each rear passenger backseat of the car for the dual exhaust. I included pictures to show the originality of this GT. Please keep in mind, this GT is as it was in May 1966 and drives, smells and feels like it did in 1966.
