Description

This Car was listed before, TheCarburetor had failed right before close of sale, and winning bidder had gotten angry and nasty, and even more so when I had asked if he would consider meeting me in the middle on the repair possibly, the end result was him leaving me negative feedback and accusing me of things. I wanted to clarify things here before listing again.I bought this car from the original owner, Mr. Louis Weigand 200 San Antonio Way Sacramento CA 95819 in 1987 where I used to live in what's known as East Sacramento..my Family owned a home at 40th and McKinley, 4001 McKinley Blvd. from 1946-2005. The Odometer read 73.400 or so when I bought it and now reads 115,370 I have taken this car with me on various moves to San Diego, and my home for a number of years Seattle which is where the last registration was done and a permanent Forever Collectors Plate was issued, I also have as seen in the photos the Original 1962 California Plates. They should still be free and clear to register it back in California if you choose. In my move to New York State, some items were either lost or stolen, the envelope with all the original papers and things I have done for almost 30 years were gone, the last receipt I have is for all the work done last year, evidenced in the photos. New Valve Cover Gaskets, Exhaust Manifold, Water Pump, Brake Booster, Complete Brakes, Transmission and Rear End Service, Radiator Service. All Fluids Changed, Wiper Blades, Tune-Up, Headlight Dimmer Switch and Wheel Cylinders. And about 40 miles on a completely rebuilt Carb 3 months ago. The last and only repaint done was in 1991 still looks good, shows some little bubble spots/chips and some dings in the points of the front fenders. The Chrome is Original, Has some scratches and wear. Power Driver's Seat Works and the Windows. All Glass is Good. Runs and Drives, the interior needs redone, carpet is good. Tires are approximately 24 years old. Comes with an Owner's Manual and Clear Title in my name. Wire Wheels In Trunk Photo Have Been Sold Look at the Photos. Please do not offer me $3000 and don't send me Emails asking if I would or What's The Reserve..Just Bid, take a look at the Rusted Out Non Running Junk out there for that much. At least I have cared for the car and had work done to it over the years. Reserve is Very Low and Reasonable..NADA is as follows: Original MSRP $4321.00 Low Retail is $12,180 Average Retail is $19,800 and of course High Retail and I know that is Museum Grade Restoration is $25,800 I am asking a lot less than the Low Retail. Please make your shipping arrangements, usually DAS Offers Door To Door Shipping and is reliable. We will be out of town from 7/8-7/12 and then again from 7/15-8/5 so for anyone that needs time to pick up or arrange shipping this will probably work in your favor. I will work with you, and your deposit will guarantee holding it for you, no hurries or worries.

The 1962 Plates I would rather keep since the car hasn't had them for some time and would like to have them for another use.

Winning Bidder Can Have The 1962 Plates there were on the car from New until I moved to Washington State in 2013. I figure what came with the Thunderbird should go with it. The Car was purchased at Harold Ford Sacramento by Lou October 1962 and he had traded in his 1956 Ford Customline. With his Trade-In the T-Bird cost $3700 approximately out the door after some negotiation according to his Son Bill in a conversation some time ago. If anyone who is seriously considering this car have any questions at all please ask, and happy bidding.. Bid often as at this time the car isn't even close to the reserve, and that isn't much.
