Up for grabs is this '64 Galaxie 500 Convertible. It is an original black colored car that came with a 352 3 speed on the column, and it still has the pedals so you could make a 4 speed car pretty easily! There is now a 351W automatic just sitting in there.
It is pretty complete, interior looks all original and in pretty useable shape. The only things I can find missing are the front fender trims, and the left windshield frame plate that the convertible top latch hooks into. I looked everywhere in the car and couldn't find it.
The body has had new lower quarter sections put on it; but incorrectly. As shown in the pics, it looks like they installed them partially over some of the old quarter sections. Inside the trunk you can see the new panels, so it looks like they probably didn't drill out the spot welds. You use it as is as a driver, or fix it correctly.
Now the doors and front fenders are solid and rust free, and look like they have no bondo at all. The trunk floor does have some rust in the front edge and along the sides near the wheelwells as shown, very fixeable.
The top actually looks pretty new, even a clear back window, just notinstalled tight enough, could probably be adjusted.
There are more parts in the trunk like the headlight buckets and trim, and others as shown. The convertible well trim is there and in nice shape. Also, I have the front bumper which is straight, but no rear bumper.
I don't have the fourth Magnum 500 wheel, they are 14".
I think this car could be either a good start for a cheap cruiser as is, or as the basis for a resto project.
I'm clearing out of projects that I'm not going to get to for quite a while to help pay for our house remodel...

Thanks for looking!
On Jul-10-16 at 09:47:28 PDT, seller added the following information:Ok, I took a better look after a couple requests.
The rocker panels look like the originals, the seams are there, but they both have some bondo in them.
The padded dash looks in great condition, no cracks at all.
The front fenders and doors look like no rust or bondo, pretty straight. The main work would be the quarters...
The 351 does turn, and it is just sitting in the bay, not bolted down.
Windshield not cracked, other glass looks good.
The interior looks all original, the front just has slight break in the outside driver's side edge facing the door, should be able to see it in the picture.
If you'd like to come see it early, just give me a call, it is inside, so it could be after dark.
Thanks!
