MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this original all steel patina 1939 91D 3/4 ton Ford Pickup. It has resided with the same loving owner since 1987-29 years! This all steel body, is a very rare find in its original condition and real patina. This truck was also used during the WWII years for metal scrap drives to help the war effort! This is a solid and honest truck that would make an excellent platform for a complete restoration, a rat rod or continue using it as a work truck.

The 1939 Ford pickup truck featured the first totally new cab since 1935. The new front end, featuring an oval grill was a pioneering design that featured the first conventional front opening truck hood in the industry. The truck also featured a modernized instrument panel and a completely redesigned pick up bed, the first since 1931. This 1939 Ford Series 91D 3/4 has the same body as a half ton pickup but on a heavier frame and suspension.

Finished in a original Vineyard Green, this all steel body pickup shows well and carries all the patina extremely well for a 76 year old work truck. The side mounted spare tire matches the other four wheels and tires. The running boards are solid and show great patina. All the trim is present, complete, and displays normal wear for a vehicle of this age. It even retains the drivers side bed mounted red flare metal container. The front bumper is fits well with a finish as expected considering the age. The custom rear bumper is sturdy, functional and has a trailer hitch. The plywood bed is complete and still functional and shows some of its’ age All four of the (very rare) red glass marble reflectors are present in good condition.

Inside, the green vinyl bench seat that looks period The exterior patina matching door panels and dashboard are a continuation of the green exterior of the car. The original equipment gauges are ergonomically placed have a period appearance along with the Bakelite gear shift knob. The truck does have a newer ignition. The original equipped two spoke custom steering wheel is in good condition and functions as designed.

This 1939 pickup is equipped with the original 85hp 221cid Ford flathead V8 engine, Ford/Holley 1 barrel carburetor, four speed manual transmission, open rear differential, mechanically actuated drum brakes. 17-inch original Ford steel wheels with Firestone tires.
