1956 Ford Thunderbird
Description
You are bidding on a 1956 Thunderbird in good condition. This is a California car. It has the unusual non porthole hardtop and air conditioning. When I purchased the car, it had been in a collection and had developed flat spots on the tires. I replaced them with new Coker wide whites, and these tires have less than 300 miles on them. I also had the radiator rebuilt and the rear bumper rechromed. The car has just been tuned and has had a valve adjustment and brake work. The car is very correct and original. It is equipped with the 312 engine and automatic transmission, and retains the original teapot 4 barrel carburetor. The car drives well and has manual steering, brakes, and windows. The interior is very nice, and I will include new upholstery and carpet. These came with the car when I bought it, but I saw no need to use them. The car looks beautiful with its striking color, but it does need paint. It has very fine hairline cracking in the exterior red. From a few feet away the car looks fine, but it really should be painted. This is the reason I have listed the car. I don't mind keeping it if it doesn't sell, but I have others that need work, and I can use the garage space. Feel free to ask questions, and you are welcome to inspect the car if you wish. The winning bidder will be responsible for pickup and transportation of the car, and I will assist as possible. Payment will include a $200 deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction with the balance due within one week in cash or other agreed upon method.
