Description

1967 Ford Mustang Convertible Project
This car is an Southern California One Owner 289 Convertible. It is a rust free car, that was going to be built in to a Resto-mod hotrod cruiser. The goals of the project was to have modern running gear and modern performance. The car was completely taken apart for the restoration and almost all the bodywork has been completed. As you can see there is zero body filler and just bare metal now. The original suspension was removed and replaced with a 4-Link style rear end. It is a 9" Currie rear dif with Coil Over adjustable shocks. The front end is double A-Arm adjustable suspension with Coil Overs. It has massive Wilwood disc brakes in the front set up for Disc in rear as well. The engine is the process of being smoothed out for the clean look. All the convertible and interior is in original condition, and will still need to be restored.
The shop that started the project called my friend that I am selling the car for and told him that they were going out of business, and he need to come get his car. He had paid them in excess of $70k for the work to be completed, but obviously it has not been done. He even bought a brand new Boss 5.0 engine, when we picked up the car they rolled out this 4.6 3V motor and said the 5.0 had been sold off and he could have this motor. Really not a great experience for my buddy. It is a shame because his mother had purchased the car new and had taken really good care of it of its life. I would guess that all the big parts are here, but small item could be missing. I tried to take pictures of all the items we have. The car is on a cart to make transportation fairly easy.
