Description

This car (yes) is relisted. What I have to say is you don't bid on cars on ebay and then act like you want to inspect the car.

I said that to my last buyer and he felt offended and did not purchase the car. I did not report him as a non payingbidder (yet) but this just costs me money to relist..

its not right, all I want here is to honestly sell my carto someone who really wants it and knows that it is not a POS or anything from it.

Ive owned this car 11 years and it was garaged and sat for about the past 10 years in a local friends garage. I knew when I pulled it out of his garage I was going to have to sell it and I am OK with that because I actually own a 1967 gt350 and a 2007 gt500 (with 400 miles on it). this car was going to be the Mustang I drove as the others truly are show pieces.

Check out the marti report in my add. I am not sure that is any big deal but what is truly outrageous in my opinion is that the car had white painted stripe option.

That means that the hood got the two painted on stripes that run back from the deluxe hood blinker area to the cowl. Sorry I didn't get the deluxe report now because in my experience this makes this car very rare. again not a big deal for some but I know some people like 1 of cars. Now I am not saying this is a 1 of now but I bet it is one of maybe 50 or so?? Again I know when cars did get the painted hood stripe, 99% of the time it was black.

This car was a special order car because if you check it out thoroughly,

you will see that the engine is upgraded (to the J code engine) this is the same engine that the GT 350 Shelbys would have had in it,sporting a suitable 230 horsepower.

You will also see the rear axle upgrade to a 3.00 ratio, still economical but significantly more performance than the typical 2.80 rear gear you'd find in the typicalMustang of this vintage.

The mustang also has the optional fold down rear seat, styled steel (GT type) wheels and head rest seats.

Exterior décor group option giving the car the additional chrome on the rocker panels, trunk lid, pop open gas cap and the deluxe hood.

please note that the interior was not even cleaned but if you look the drivers seat bottom was reupholstered in a non factory styled vinyl. I bought a new seat upholstery kit and all you have to do is install the lowerseat cushion and you'd have a very nice looking interior. the rear seat and passenger seat are nearly perfect. the headliner is goodoriginal and if you look you will also see the door panels and dashpad still looking great as well.

The car has been repainted and it was an OK job because it had to be done about 20 years ago and the paint still shines very nicely. The tires on this car are a matched set of BF Goodrich radial TA's and have plenty of meat left on them.

NOW what I must say about the car is it is nearly 50 years old and never been restored. The floor boards are always an issue with a mustang as are frame rails and torque boxes, by 1968 the mustangs all had front torque boxes, rear torque boxes and complete front frame rails, rear frame rails andshock towers. Now I will say the front rails, shock towers rear torque boxes and frame rails are 100%. The front torque boxes have had some repairs, but are still there doing what they are supposed to be doing. As are the original floors still there. They are 50 years old now. (ok call them 48.5 year old)..the floors will need some attention in thenear future. Id say really only the drivers side but anyone doing a full restoration on this car some day will probably do what ever it takes to get this special car back to 100% show new.

Now in ending for now, I want to say that about a month ago I took the car out of the garage and with a new battery and starter selonoid the car started right up.

I then brought the car to my friends shop .(carlo in Boonton).

Carlo has charged me over 1200 and what you have now is a 100% road ready car.

I'VE GOT CLEAR NEW JERSEY TITLE IN MY NAME IN HAND!!!

The car has new brakes

all 4 new wheel cylinders along with a new Master cylinder.

All new fuel system including sending unit, fuel pump, fresh fuel, blown out fuel lines, fresh gas and a rebuilt holley carburetor.

Battery and starter selonoid and starter.

oil changed including filter

full tune up.

ignition Coil/

What wasn't touched was the cooling system or charging system because they were both checked out and check out 100%!!!! WOW..

Im not sure what else but I trust Carlo and I also know he wouldn't rip me off, so I know speding 1200 with him will save any new buyer and me well over 2000. Why do I mention this, well while the car was running and driving in the past add, my hope is Inet out the same so I hope someone realizes this is a special car.

NOW lets not even talk about the car being highland green originally. Anyone remember BULLIT the movie; Steve McQueen drove the nearly identical car with a set of American Racing torque thrust D wheels. WOW again!!!

I have some more pics (btw) that I will add of the car giving you more to see.

Thanks

Tony
