Description
Selling my 1988 Ford Mustang Coupe, former Georgia State Patrol pursuit vehicle. The Real Deal - no replica or tribute car. If you know much about Special Service Package Mustangs then you know how hard it is to find a nice condition Georgia car is to find. They're rare, period. There were only 100 GSPs purchased by the State in 1988. I've tried to keep this one as original shape as I can.

The car condition is better than average, but this is no show pony. It does have some flaws, but makes for a very nice weekend/cruise in car. Runs very good. Shows nice.
The engine is not original to this car. The long block was replace with a rebuilt engine that has 10k miles, however I kept the original Listek alternator w/external voltage regulator for originality. New aluminum radiator. The AOD transmission was rebuilt and shifts right. The rear gear has been upgraded to a FMS 3.55. Shorty headers and H-pipe. That's it for mods.
The interior is not a recover, it's original. There's a couple cig burns on the driver's side door panel from an assigned Trooper. There is a small rip on the back of the passenger front seat. A reproduction equipment tree has been re-installed.
The flaws, the A/C & stock am/fm radio doesn't work. There's a very slight exhaust leak on the H-pipe on a cold start up. The stock driveshaft tossed a balance weight, but the car does come with a brand new FMS aluminum driveshaft.
Buy it now and get all kinds of vintage police equipment I have collected for it.
Buyer is responsible for shipping, but I can meet your carrier of choice to drop the car off so he doesn't have to load in my neighborhood. The car is available to be inspected in person with appointment. No joy rides. You can reach me by phone, Four Oh Four, 392. 1460 - between 7am-10pm Eastern Time. The reserve is reasonable. If you have to ask, this is not the car for you.
