as you can see from the photo's, this is avery cleanand well taken care ofadult owned88 mustang lx 5.0 convertible with auto trans. the car is dark red with a near immaculate greycloth interior and tan top. the car has always been garage kept, most often covered, and spentmost of it's life in southeastern pa. itwas not used in the winter. the carwas purchased by the current owner in 1992 from an adultin the medical field. at that time it had80,200 mostly interstate miles on it. in about 1994 the paxton supercharger, headers,performance exhaust system with dumps, stiffeners, a shift kit, gt body details, and a new 160 mph speedometer were added. the new speedometer shows 11,295 miles. (giving the car a total of91,495 total miles). theupgrades were completedby the sr. owner whowas a meticulous and well respected ford ( teens thru 60s era)restorer andenthusiast. hedidn't drive it that much due toage and health issues, but liked having a fast car. this is an estate sale.
the interior is like new.the tan top was replaced about 6 years ago due to a very small tear. it still looks new, andhasn't been down very often.the underside is extremely clean. itcurrently has bf goodrich comp ta vr4 tires showing light wear.
the paint is bright and shiny, with somesome typical paint chips in the front area and on the hood.theantenna is broken.the heater core was recently disconnected due to a very small leak ( a new heater core is included, still in the box).there is a small ding on the left rear cornor of the grey gt body panel.the plastic radiator reservoir has a split near the top.the top boot is like new, and includes the bag it comes in. the trunk is immaculate.the electric windows work fine, just stick once in a while, which is common with these cars.
as far as I know the engine is original and was notmodified.a clean marti report is available showing no damage or incidents.
overall the car sounds and runs great, with a very noticeable rumble when idling.i've driven it gently about 100 miles (including a fewdays ago) since bringing it to ny. it'sreliable, very quick, starts immediately, is tight andrattle free,hugs the road like a race car, yet itis mild enough for everyday driving (my wife loves the car, but we don't have room for another one).

if you're interested in a really nice 5.0 mustang convertible it'll be hard to find a better one.
