My baby needs a new home!
I am an honest seller/buyer on eBay and all major auction sites and other such as craigs, offer-up, and Facebook sites. This is the BEST description I can give you on this car. Please read ALL before contacting me.
Ford Mustang GT Convertible 2-Door, Engine: 5.0L 302 Cu. In. V8 GAS OHV Naturally Aspirated, 8 cyl., 225-hp, mileage 17/24, 4-sp automatic transmission w/OD.
This was my project car that, like so many projects, had to be put away because of medical reasons. I purchased it on eBay 09/2015. I have clear title in hand. Most of the repairs/replace have original receipts. The previous owner, who decided he wanted something else to fix up and race, did most of them. If there is a *, it means I am the person who had the work done. The date beside the repair is when the invoice is dated. If no date, then I do not know.
This is a nice little 1992 Fox body Mustang convertible 5.0 with Corbeau seat covers front & back. Has cruise control & COLD air, power steering, all electric, gauges all work. Has nice AM/FM /CD/MP3 player with 4 speakers. Driver & pass. airbags. VIN is 1FACP44E6NF113354.
Mileage reads 049453 (I don’t know how many I have put on it myself).
It has been sitting in my yard for about 2 weeks (it needs a bath. The markings you see on the hood are from nosy horses and can be washed off!). Other than that, it has been garage-kept. It was also garage kept by the fellow who sold it to me. Neither the man I bought it from nor myself allowed smokers in or around the car.
The body is in good shape with no dents.
All lights, signals, cruise control, brakes work great.
The car ran smooth (and FAST) until the transmission issue (see below). I don’t know if it truly is the transmission or if the guy was trying to rip me off (I did not know him) but I have not run it since just in case.
It has been regularly serviced for oil changes and tune-ups (some have receipts). It has been regularly serviced with fuel treatment.
All parts listed below were purchased at reliable parts stores i.e. O’Reillys, AutoZone, restoration companies, etc.

Sept. 2015 these are notes the seller sent me prior to sale:
My mechanic had mentioned that it is best to replace the steering rack at some point and to keep the power steering fluid topped up; this is what I have done for the past few months. The engine is in fine shape as far as I can tell. The transmission was rebuilt and has a warranty on it.
Transmission works well no slipping or noise, shifts solid,Engine runs great no smoke no noise, real tight,Entire drivetrain works great some oil seepage around front crank seal but nothing bad
Parts that come with sale (see photos) – with ** means box included:
Fel-pro gaskets**
3 original speaker covers in excellent condition
Duralast Gold new starter**
Motorcraft belt**
Depo Auto lamp**
Intermoto Horn**
The sellers sent the parts he purchased and did not need. I bought the gasket this month & did not need.
I am including in the sale a driver’s side headlight I did not need.
Here are the problems:
In early Sept. 2016 I was told it needed a new transmission by a dealership. I had it towed and that is why it is in the yard, not the garage.
Some jackalope in a parking lot dropped something on the front windshield and cracked the glass. The window is functional. See pics.
The convertible top is functional but needs a new one to make her look sharp. There is a leak in the driver’s side door where it does not meet. When I saw it online the seller did have the top down; I just have not done so just in case! I have glued closed the tears in the cloth.
The convertible engine works, but the mechanical pieces need greasing (as a mechanic told me)
The guy who sold it to me painted it (it was originally red) in black – some spray-paint – possibly professional also but not a great job. You will want to have it painted to look sharp. He also painted the hubcaps (??) that are the original ones with the pony.
It needs a good wash & interior vacuumed.
No spare tire.
No horn. The seller said he has tried several things (unknown) to get it to work to no avail.
Missing a hubcap.
There is an oil leak – not major – has dripped out of the catalytic converter area. Needs to be up on rack to determine source – I was told.
I paid close to 4K for it including towing it to my home. The body is in good shape with no cracks or dents. The car ran smooth (and FAST) until the transmission issue. Feel free to contact me and I will answer as best I can. I am near Scottsville, KY so feel free to come by and look at it. Thanks for looking and please give this baby a good home!
