Description

To many irons in the fire.I decided to let my 1950 Ford F1 pickup go.I spent 2 years, off and on, restoring this pickup.Have a ton of pictures of the work, if you want to see something, just let me
know.Pickup has never been wrecked, and only rust is in the front bed corner, it
has the original wood bed with the original metal cover over it.I drove this little pickup for 7000 miles, then had a engine problem, pulled
the engine and its been sitting for a year now.I have so many old cars and pickups, and motorcycles, I just haven't had time
to put this back together.I'm selling like it sits, with no engine in it, or if you want I will put a
fresh built running flathead 8BA back in it.Buy it, give me a small deposit, and Ill build a engine and stick back in
it..The pickup, is a factory v8 pickup,I'm 56 years old, life long mechanic, do frame off restorations for a living. The work I have done ..
Chassis,I completely rebuilt the front suspension, king pins, tie rod ends, steering
joints, steering box, Had the leaf springs re arched,New shackles and shackle bushings.New front wheel bearings and seals,New Gabriel Ultra, heavy duty shocks all around,
The rear, I didn't replace the rear shackles or shackle bushings, they where
in perfect condition. I did inspect them. I believe Ford himself would have
left them..I rebuilt the original Spicer differential, new pinion and carrier bearings,
factory 4.11 gears in perfect condition.New axel bearings and seals.
Brakes,New master cylinder, wheel cylinders, all 3 rubber lines, new spring kits,
shoes and all brake line was replaced.E brake cables cleaned and lubed, working perfectly.
The frame is in perfect condition, no rusting at all,
Drive train,Like I said, I rebuilt the original Flathead V8 but broke it at 7000 miles,I set it up with a T5 transmission, which comes with the pickup, had a new
drive shaft built to fit it.
Original radiator and gas tank, had them both boiled and tested, both in
exultant working order.
Electrical,I converted it to 12 volt, completely rewired the pickup, using cloth style
wiring loom. All the gauges work, re set the odometer to 0 .All the lights work, horn works .
Body. The pickup had been setting in a garage when I got it, so there's not much
surface rust on it,The paint is 70 to 80 % original, I like to rub it with boiled linseed oil a
couple times a year.I love the original look, so I never painted it,The inside of the cab I did paint, I gutted it, and painted it, Repaired the
broken seat springs and had the seat recovered. The windshield is original, and the back glass looks it. Both I gingerly broke
away the hard rubber and replaced them with new rubber.Doors, gutted them, inspected and repaired the cranks and latches, all new
glass in the doors, new rubber and felts. lock even works.Installed a converted to 12 volt heater, works great.
Wheels, tires.Wheels are 40 Ford, 16s, tires are new, less then a 1000 miles on them,
Firestones, Back 700-16, Front 550-16
I'm telling you, all this little pickup needs is a engine stuck in it,
EVERYTHING else is good to go.It is a great little pickup, looks great, drives great, and even with the
flathead and T5 in it, it runs 80 all day long.
O, my bad, the windshield wiper motor doesn't work, I just rain-X it, lol ...
Buyer responsible for transport, 500 Dollar deposit due at end of Auction ..Good luck guys, this is really a beautiful little pickup ..
