I'm putting up for sale my 1965 Galaxie 500 X, I realize I no longer have the time nor the space for my classic cars. I plan on listing the others shortly. This first one is a 1965 Galaxie 500 XL convertible. It's a numbers matching Z code 390 automatic with power steering, power brakes and the rare options of (working and restored )AM/FM radio and factory air condition (working but needs a charge). Very nicely repainted in its original Wimbledon white. The sheetmetal on this car is completely rust free, not replaced or repaired but never rested.The power top is in great working condition and has a glass back window. Although it runs fine, after sitting for nearly 2 years it could use a little going through (carb adjustment) to return it to its smooth idle.
As you can see from the photos, the last thing this engine bay needs is to have the engine itself detailed (painted). It's one thing I've always wanted to do but never got around to it and I don't imagine I'll have the time now.65 XL's are special cars compared to the standard galaxies and with the big block option makes this one quite a nice piece. This is not a number one show car but it wouldn't take much to take it to that level, everything is here and working. According to the current market values of this model and given its current condition I value it in the high 20's / low 30's however, to help ensure a quick easy sale I'm listing it at buy it now... $22,500.
