This listing is for a rare Classic 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 that is arguably the most desirable body style of Ford's iconic pony car

that has been built and has been one of the rocks in the classic car hobby, steadfast and solid in appreciation in value and interestThis Classic Mustang was owned for 50 years by one owner . He purchased this car is 1966 and sold it in 2016. I have the voided 1966 title, Bill of Sale from Sam Scism Ford ( still in business and see pics) and the original owners manual. Documentation is critical in maximizing value in collector cars and this car has it !!
Original Poppy Red ( code 3, with White std. Interior, and is equipped with the original 289 2 barrel V, single exhaust and a 3 speed manual transmission
It has power steering and drives very wel, smooth and steady, easy to turn with the power steering option. Good tires and glass also
It also has the most desired floor console between the front bucket seats, and the dash cluster has been changed to the round gauge panel of 1966
This is not one of those high dollar restored cars but sure could be someday, and is perfectly driveable as is and still looks good in it's current condition
It is a factory 3 speed manual transmission car and shifts easily thru the gears and stops well....transmission and brakes are good, and you can convert this to a 4 speedin a couple of hours even if you are an average shade tree mechanic and parts are readily available.
All VIN #'s are in their factory locations as no inner aprons have been replaced like a lot of these cars have had
Exterior finish : The body panels appear to be all original and has had some repairs over it's lifetime as it has been repainted many years agoThe floor pans are very solid with hardly any issue, the rh side at the bottom of the firewall where it bends around to the floor has been repaired but the underbody is in good condition overallThere are bubbles in the LH door corner ..... The paint is a 6-7 on a 1-10 scale with 10 as best and looks great even with the older repaint, still shiny, and only has normalflaws and chips. A restoration will be warranted someday to make this car it's best but stilllooks good enough to cruise in and be proud of it's original type appearance as it has minor wear and tear but still shows wel, and yes, it is hard to beat Poppy Red on a 1965 Classic Mustang !
In summar, this is not a Mustang Club of America show winner in it's current condition but is a Mustang Fastback that will make the new owner proud they pulled the trigger and bought this one at this reasonable price as you just can't find them in this near survivor condition anymore.
