Description

For sale is an old school 1949 Ford shoebox. Original Florida car with very little rust repair. Chop was done many years ago and is starting to show a few cracks in skim coat in a few places. I have put pictures of areas I am talking about. Very repairable. I had put some sealer over cracks to prevent water from getting in. Headlights and tail lights frenched with nice pin stripe over headlights, hood center and trunk center. Rear has been customized to utilize 1955/56 pontiac split bumpers which I do not have. Trunk has cable for remote opening but needs spring repaired. I also have a set of NOS fender skirts that will go with car. Purchased but never installed. Car has original seats. Front seat needs spring repair where driver sets. Back seat in good condition other than cover. Floor of car along with trunk very solid. Both rockers appear to have been replaced at some point. Flathead v-8 runs and sounds good, no smoke. Converted to negative ground 12 volt system with GM alternator. 1967 mustang four speed top loader transmission. Transmission shifts fine but pattern is opposite normal because builder did not cut tunnel enough to allow proper linkage placement. Still H pattern but 1st is where second would normally be. Not to hard to get used to or fixable with tunnel modification. Headers with straight pipes all the way to the rear of car. Sounds great. Original gauges are not hooked up and has after market Oil Pressure, Ampmeter, and a temp gauge for each head. I traded another car for this one and have driven it very little. I did replace starter cable and connection where cable mounts to starter. I also installed regular ignition switch instead of the push button style. Had wiring issue with button and was easier to change than track down. Could be converted back to push button very easily with new positive push button. Old button was ground activated. Door glass on both sides need replaced. Original window regulator still in place but glass, channel and vent glass were removed with chop. Temporary plexiglass right now. No door poppers at this time. Interior window trim is in trunk and needs cut to fit chop. I have done very little to this car other than changed oil, filter, and packed front wheel bearings. Fun car to drive and could be taken to next level if wanted or drive as is. Clear Iowa title in my name. Buyer responsible for pickup but I will assist as much as possible.
