JUST LOWERED BUY IT NOW FOR IMMEDIATE SALE. To answer some questions out of the almost 100 questions the number one is about the vin numbers. All of the numbers are there and match, the fender stamp, the door data plate and it has a Shelby vin plate under the hood on the drivers fender but it does not cover the original vin. The next most commonly asked question, no you cannot see any seams where the roof was married to the body. The shop we bought it from has done this kind of conversion hundreds of times and some of the cars they sell finished for $50,000 plus just depending on how far they take it for you. Number 3 question. The floors are perfect and all original. This car was sold in California and stayed there its entire life. Fourth question, yes this car drives very well and has no known mechanical issues but some are asking if they could buy it and drive across the country and to that I will say I can't advise a 2,000 mile trip in this car or any classic car honestly. Shipping is pretty reasonable and at the price I am asking should leave plenty of room. You can ship this car from here in Wa state to the opposite side of the U.S. for $1200. So thank you for all of the interest and no Although some of the trade offers are tempting we really just need the cash. We now have 3 mustangs in our corral. Back to the original description. Our son really wanted a Mustang Fastback and we found a shop in California that do conversions so we went that route because he really liked the Eleanor look but we couldn't find one in our budget. So $27,000 later after conversion was complete, he found an actual 1965 fastback and we bought that one so this one needs to go. This car started out as a 1967 C code coupe and an actual fastback roof was salvaged from a totaled fastback and the two were professionally put together. You can not tell any difference when looking at it and it gets a ton of attention. The coupe was Optioned with lower console, courtesy lighting group, power steering and was rust free. We bought this car in California where it had been the entire time and owned by the same person and has 160,000 actual miles. There is absolutely no rust on the car except for some tiny bubbles on the corner of the doors. I'm going to say this is a project car. It still needs finishing touches on the interior, it needs a headliner and the rear plastic panels installed. I believe there is about 80% of the interior panels inside the trunk along with other miscellaneous parts. The car sounds amazing and I have a video of it running and blazing down the street. The motor is the original 289 that it came with. It has dual exhaust and sounds like a Shelby should sound. It has nice 18 inch wheels and the tires have plenty of tread left. The paint is a cheap Maaco job in silver frost and if it was my car I would repaint it. The body is very straight no dents and lines are all good. Doors shut as they should. Glass is all great. The bumpers look new. There are some Shelby accessories that will come with the car as well. My son bought some things and never put them on the car, Shelby emblems, Shelby license plate, Shelby signature, California black plate, new stereo etc. we are selling it for much less than we have spent because it needs to sell fast and we realize it needs about $3,000 to finish the interior. You can get in and drive while you finish. Where else can you get a car like this for this cheap? The title is clear and car is ready to go. I will assist in transport anywhere. Ask any questions and if you would like to see the video please send me your email address. This car is fast and looks and sounds mean. With the interior finished and a better paint job it will be an amazing car!
