Description

RELISTED DUE TO A DEADBEAT GERMAN BIDDER.
Item up for bid is my 1969 Ford Mustang Mach I Sportsroof Fastback. S Code 390-4V, Automatic C6, Deluxe black interior, console, rim blow steering wheel, 9" rear end, power steering, power front disc brakes, shock tower reinforcements, in-dash clock, pop open gas cap, factory A/C car.

This is a complete BIG BLOCK 69 Mach I project car. It looks to be 95% complete, but needs restoration. Please look over all pictures and ask any questions you have before bidding.

I have not ordered a Marti Report for it because between the VIN tag and ORIGINAL door tag, you can pretty much see how the car came from Ford. I have title free and clear in my hand.

This 69 Mach I is a project but does run and neighborhood drives. The 390-4V engine runs really well, shifts hard and sounds great!Engine is not matching numbers, but has the correct GT heads, intake and exhaust manifolds.

Story on this car is that I bought it twice. After I bought it the first time a friend wanted it so I sold it to him. He ripped it apart, sent it to a local restoration shop and had accrued a $6000.00 bill on getting rust repairs completed. Please see the receipt for all metal work done to the car! After his monies ran out he resold the Mach 1 as a basket case back to me. I simply took what work and parts that he paid for and put the car back together.

Most major components do work – Headlights, Taillights, charging system, brakes, fuel system, e-brakes, speedo, heater, exhaust, etc. with many new parts installed along the way – Brake rotors/pads/shoes/hoses, heater core, Carpet, headlight switch, fluids.

Items that need attention: Horn, ft turn signal housings, parking lights, squirters, reverse lights, a/c, weatherstripping.

Hope you get the idea where this car is at. Without a doubt this is a car that can be driven and enjoyed this summer.

This car is sold as is where is. Please ask questions before you make an offer to purchase.I welcome local inspections.

Overseas buyers are welcome. Payment must be made in full by wire transfer if overseas buyer purchases. Here in the United States, cash upon pickup is preferred. Vehicle will not leave my garage until my bank has guaranteed and released the funds. Shipping is not included, but I can work with your shippers to be available to help load with 24 hour notice of pickup. PAYMENT IN FULL WITHIN 7 DAYS OF END OF AUCTION.

After several questions about rust issues, I'll address them here:

3 areas of rust concern:

1. Front battery apron. Rust underneath the battery tray. Should be repaired or replaced for restoration. Original VIN is stamped on both front fender aprons.

2. Cowl. should be replaced when restoring the car.Fornow I simply repaired the base of the cowl with resin and it does not leak.

3.Floors. Again should be replaced when restoring the car. The car had multiple pinholes in several areas but not enough to justify replacing. I used a fiberglass matting to seal up the floors.

Please refer to the reciept shown in one of the pics, it shows all the metal work that was done to the car.

After more questions about the body on the car:
The doorskins, face quarters, roof, trunklid and tail light panel are new. Both front fenders and hood are rust free OEM but have a few dents/scratches etc. in them.Thefront and rear valences areworkable but I would replace for the cost of new ones. The paint on the car is either tinted primer or a basecoat and was applied to seal it up. There is still final bodywork, sanding, etc.beforefinal paintwork can be applied.
