Up for sale we have a 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback. This Stang has had a full resto around 5 years ago, but not many miles have been put on it since completed. When restored new interior, a new engine with a five speed trans, and vintage ac was added. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Ford, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Mustang. When you walk around it you will see good lines with good fit of the panels. At the time of the build new quarter panels were installed along with new fenders. The hood was changed to the glass Shelby Hood and the side scoops were added. All the glass was removed and new seals along with new weather stripping was installed. Also, you'll see it has a new Shelby grill and all new chrome installed. The body is covered in the Bright White with Rally Red Stripes that is slick with a deep rich shine. The paint is base coat clear coat with the stripes being under the clear. To finish the look, it's sitting on a set of 17" American Racing Wheels with Spinners and a new set of tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Fastback. On the inside it's all done in red and white to complement the exterior scheme. It has the correct seats covered with the Red Pony Covers and White inserts. Also, it has the deluxe door panels that are done in Red. Being a 2+2 the back seat folds down and it works as it should. It has Red Carpet and a White Headliner. Looking at the dash it's stock with only an upgrade to the radio. As with all Mustangs the AC unit mounts under the dash. This Stang has the factory console with a shifter to look like the 4 Speed that would have come in it.
Finally, we will take look at the driveline of the Ford. Under the hood it's powered by a new crate 302 engine that's dressed with an Aluminum Intake and Edelbrock Carb. It has the Chrome Valve Covers and the Chrome Breather to match. To keep it cool it has an Aluminum Radiator. The exhaust flows through stock manifolds and flow master exhaust with the chrome tips. Mated to the Five Speed Trans is the 9" Rear End. This front brakes were upgraded to Disc with the rear being drum. The bushings upfront were replaced as well as new brakes lines, fuel lines, and fuel tank.
