1935 FORD 5 WINDOW COUPE ON A 1940 FORD CHASSIS WITH A NEW 1986 LINCOLN 302 H.O. ENGINE AND AN AOD TRANSMISSION (12 ORIGINAL MILES ON BOTH ENGINE AND TRANS!). THE CHASSIS WAS PROFESSIONALLY BUILT BY STREET MACHINES. IT HAS A MUSTANG II FRONT END & SUSPENSION WITH DISC BRAKES, FLAMING RIVER RACK AND PINION STEERING, FORD 9" REAR END AND LEAF SPRINGS. HEI DISTRIBUTOR, 4 BARREL EDELBROCK CARB AND POLISHED MANIFOLD, CERAMIC COATED HEADERS, CHROME, ONE WIRE ALTERNATOR, BILLET ALUMINUM PULLEYS AND AIR FILTER, POLISHED A/C COMPRESSOR, CHROME OIL PAN, ROCKER COVERS AND TRANSMISSION PAN AND A CUSTOM DRIVE LINE. NEW BOB DRAKE FUEL TANK AND ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. CUSTOM BITCHIN’ FIREWALL THAT ACCOMMODATES THE OVERHEAD VALVE V8, ALL NEW STEEL FLOOR BOARDS (THE ORIGINALS WERE PARTLY WOOD), AND CUSTOM FABRICATED TUNNEL TO FIT AROUND THE AOD TRANSMISSION. FILLED ALL OF THE OLD HOLES IN THE DASH AND CUSTOMIZED IT USING GOLD RIMMED VINTAGE GAUGES, BILLET ALUMINUM A/C VENTS AND KNOBS. ADDED A GPS SPEEDOMETER & SENDER.
REMOVED THE COWEL VENT AND FILLED THE OPENING (MAKES ROOM UNDER THE DASH FOR THE A/C AND HEATER). MOUNTED THE BODY ONTO THE 40 FRAME AND ADDED A REBEL 20 CIRCUIT WIRING HARNESS. REMOVED THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES . REMOVED THE INTERIOR WINDOW HANDLES AND ADDED REMOTE CONTROL POWER WINDOWS TO BOTH DOORS & THE BACK WINDOW (THE ORIGINAL CRANKED UP AND DOWN FOR VENTILATION). REMOVED THE HINGES AND HARDWARE FROM THE WINDSHIELD AND MADE IT A BOLT IN FIXED UNIT (THE ORIGINAL WINDSHIELD CRANKED OPEN AT THE BOTTOM FOR VENTILATION). REMOVED THE TRUNK HANDLE WELDED THE HOLES THEN ADDED A POWER LIFT TO THE TRUNK LID. ADDED A COMMANDER 6 BUTTON REMOTE CONTROL TO RAISE AND LOWER THE DOOR WINDOWS, REAR WINDOW AND TRUNK. ENTRY TO THE CAR IS GAINED BY LOWERING THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WINDOW AND USING THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE, NO LOCKS REQUIRED. FABRICATED A SPECIAL FUEL FILLER INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE TRUNK (THE ORIGINAL FUEL FILLER WAS IN THE REAR FENDER/TAIL LIGHT). FABRICATED A SPECIAL TRUNK LIGHT INTO THE INNER TRUNK LID UPHOLSTRY SO I CAN SEE TO FILL UP AT NIGHT. THE REAR FENDERS WERE MODIFIED BY REMOVING THE ORIGINAL TAIL LIGHTS AND FILLING THE HOLES THEN CUTTING IN FLUSH MOUNT TEAR DROP LED TAIL LIGHTS. THE FRONT FENDERS WERE ALSO CUSTOMIZED BY ELIMINATING THE STOCK HEADLIGHTS AND FILLING THE HOLES THEN GRAFTING 1941 CHEV/GMC PICKUP HEADLIGHTS ONTO THE FENDERS. THE PARKING LIGHTS WERE CONVERTED TO LED TURN SIGNALS. OLD SCHOOL CHROME TORQ THRUST WHEELS WITH COOPER CS4 TOURING 215/60R15 TIRES.
INTERIOR IS ALL BLACK, CARPET, DOOR PANELS (WITH CUSTOM EMBOSSED SEAHAWKS LOGOS), HEADLINER AND TRIM WITH RECARO STYLE RACING SEATS WITH RED STITCHING AND 4 POINT RACING SEAT BELTS. OPTIMA BATTERY MOUNTED BEHIND THE PASENGER SEAT.
