Description

1966 F-260 factory Highboy (w/a factory installed Styleside Bed) - as rare as they come! This is a beautiful example of a two owner "time capsule" vehicle. She is 95% factory original with only 56,000 Miles on the original 352 FE motor & a newer paint job (factory correct Marlin Blue).

The other 5% are unique & functional upgrades; four wheel disc brakes, a second gas tank, spray in bed liner and a couple standard engine mods (RV cam, alum. manifold & 4 barrel carb.).The motor mods, give her that little extra boost for climbing Mtn passes here in Montana - all the while getting 16-18 MPG!

She is 99% ready for show - with only the factory bench seat in need of recovering & a floor covering needed.

Everything works just like it did when she rolled off the factory floor, even the radio works! The only exception is the Speedo which stopped working this summer (standard Ford truck issue).

She is sitting on brand new Cooper SST tires (they are the most "old school" looking - modern radial tire on the market today). The 16 inch rims were powder coated and the transfer case seals were just replaced (a new heavy duty clutch was also installed at the same time).

She is a 100% ready to drive and I would not hesitate to hop in her today and drive across country!

You will probably never find another one of these 1966 four wheel drive trucks in this original condition & with this low mileage.

The truck will be Professionally detailed before it ships!

The truck is being sold "as is", so Please ask questions and I will do my best to answer them.

$1500 dollar deposit is required - and only cash or wire transfers are excepted. No pay pal.

Buyer is responsible for shipping.

Thanks!

* I added a couple pics to help answer some bidder questions;1. There is some paint scratches on the front bumper where another vehicle rubbed up against the truck in an alley - no damage occurred2. These trucks came with the heavy duty NP 205 transfer cases3. The disc brake conversion was professionally installed by Blackbird Trucks in Spokane, WA. This system has been on the truck for over 7 years with Zero issues.

* The alum. Work box does come with the truck!

* I failed to mention this "one of a kind" truck will help any business owner get noticed. It's been very valuable in generating clients for my Tree House construction company! * Sorry - puppy dog not included :-)

* For some reason the eBay app on my tablet does not give me the option to share answers to bidders questions? So I will share the answer to a good question I had to day "when was the truck restored". With the exception of a newer paint job (factory correct Marlin Blue) & the door and window rubber replaced (same time as the paint), everything on this truck is factory original. Minus of course the few upgrades already mentioned above. Of the three different upgrades on the truck, the only I would consider changing would be to go back to the org. Manifold and carb/cleaner set up. This would give the engine bay a more period correct look. I personally would never go back to org. Drum brakes (the disc brakes are awesome!) and I wouldn't get rid of the second gas tank (the filler neck is hidden behind the rear license plate).
* the last pic I just added shows the Only rust spot on the entire truck body. I put half a roll of electric tape for comparison. The spot is located on the top of the passenger side front fender and can only be seen when you open the hood.
