Description

This 1965 Convertible has gone through a 4 year restoration process. The body was disassembled and dipped in a acid bath to remove all rust, fillers and undercoatings. Any questionable sheet metal was then replaced with high quality parts. The underside of the car has been painted with Red Oxide Epoxy primer to seal it from the elements. After the bodywork was completed the car was painted with 2 coats of Black, 4 coats of Vintage Burgundy and 4 coats of clear. It was then wet sanded and polished to a glass like finish. The car has a Power Top, Power Steering, Disc Brakes and Pony Interior. It has an aftermarket Custom Autosound (Model USA66) AM/FM Radio. A full console with the correct wood grain inserts was used.
The Engine is a 289 and was rebuilt in Portland Oregon by Portland Engine Rebuilder's and the C4 Automatic was rebuilt by Oregon Transmission in Portland also. All of the steering and suspension has been checked and replaced where needed. It has an aftermarket 1 inch front sway bar, new rear leaf springs and KYB gas shocks installed. The Steel Styled Wheels are 14x7 with BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires, R235/60R14. The Engine has an Edelbrock Performer Intake with a Holley Avenger Carburetor on top. Pertronix Egnition has been installed and the distributor has been properly tuned by Ignition Engineering of California. The Radiator is a 3 core with a high flow thermostat installed. The Exhaust System is 2.5 inch Dual Exhaust with the correct hangers used.
This car runs and drives great and has no outstanding issues needing attention. All of the wiring in this 1965 Mustang is from a 1966 Mustang, so I could add the 5 gauge instrument cluster. The Steering Wheel is and original Wood grain Wheel, so it does show some wear on it as expected. There is no Spare Tire at this time, if the buyer requires a spare one can be included. If there are any questions feel free to send me an e-mail, I also have a Video Walk Around of the car I can send if requested. Thanks for looking.
