1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Club Victoria for Parts or Restoration

THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT RUN

-I foundthis late last yearparked next to barn in EasternWyoming. Story I was told is it had been left there for over 15 years after the engine gave out. I pulled out the seats and carpet (carpet went in dumpster as it was trashed) andcleaned out all the mouse droppings. It has been stored inside a weather-proofgarage since November 2015.

- Speedometer reads 82,444 but I can't verify it is correct.

- Only significant rust I have found is on the floors under the dash. Windshield seal is rotten and apparently water leaked onto the floor and soaked the carpet. There is some pin-hole rust-through on the passenger side.A restorer would want to replace those sections of thefloors. I am amazed at how straight the body is and that the side trim is still intact. If anything, I would think someone would love to have those solid and straight doors, hood andfront fenders.

- Appears to me vehicle had some rear-end damage that caused someone to replace the rear bumper, but it is not fully attached. Rear trim on deck lid is missing. Deck lid does have some damage that causes the lip of the lid closest to the rear window to catch on the deck lid opening, but deck lid will fully open and close.

- All the glass is there, but the front window does show yellowing and delamination in the corners.

- Missing trim (as far as I know - I'm not a Galaxie expert) includes headlight bezels, logos on roof pillars and the trim above the tail lights and across therear of the deck lid. Cover for dash speaker is missing.

- There is body damage to the drivers side rear quarter panel behind the rear wheel. Someone shoved in a bunch of body filler, did a quick sanding and left it at that.

- Part of the heater box appears to be missing. Please see the photos.

- Engine air cleaner is missing

- Transmission fluid is red

- The only thing electrical that works with a battery installed is the cigarette lighter and horn.

- Someone installed "helper springs" on rear leaf springs whichleads me to believethe springs are worn out

- Both door latches do not work properly. Driver's window is stuck down.

- I have many loose pieces such as steering wheel horn trim, plastic covers for bench seat mounting brackets, trim from lower rear quarter panels, ash tray for dash, etc. Please see the pictures. It came with an extra carburetor but I don't know if it is correct for this model vehicle.
