1953 Ford Customline 2 Door Sedan
Description
Exterior:
- The body is fairly solid overall but does have some rust in the front floor pans that has been patched with sheet metal on top by a previous owner.
- It has decent driver quality paint that has some imperfections here and there.
- The front and rear bumpers were rechromed and are in good shape.
- The windshield is new and the rest of the glass is in good shape and all of the windows roll up and down.
- The grille is in decent shape but has some dings here and there.
- All of the head lights, tail lights, brake lights and turn signals work as they should.
- The windshield wipers work as well.
- The steel wheels are in good shape, the hubcaps are decent with some dings here and there and the tires are new Firestone 6.70-15" wide white walls.
Interior:
- All of the interior is in good shape.
- The seat covers look nice and don't have any tears.
- The door panels are nice with no tears.
- The headliner is in good shape.
- The carpet is new and in good shape.
- All of the gauges work.
- There is an electric fan wired to the "Blower" switch that works.
- It has an aftermarket CD player that works and sounds good.
Drivetrain & Suspension:
- The engine is the original 215 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder. It starts right up even when dead cold, has great oil pressure, and runs down the highway surprisingly well.
- The 3 speed manual transmission shifts through the gears easily and smoothly.
- The stock manual steering feels good and doesn't seem to have a lot of slack in it.
- The manual drum brakes stop the car easily and do no pull to the left or right.
- The car has been converted to 12 volt and has a new battery.
