Description

No one will ever mistake this 1967 Ford Mustang fastback for anything stock. But for the few who don't see the paint, the wheels, or any of the other new aggressive touches, the 850 hp roller V8 will teach them a lesson to take notice. The deep black paint on this coupe seems to absorb the sunlight. It's that kind of bad attitude that looks perfect with the massive hood and aggressive fastback body. The '67's details work exceptionally well, with the crease along the sides standing out to give this a more muscular appearance. Of course when it comes to aggressive stances, this one is king. Those chrome five-star Billet Specialties wheels and rear fender flares try to disguise how wide the rear wheel arches are, but one look at the profile of those massive 29x18x20 rear tires, and you know this one was specially built to make sure huge horsepower can keep contact with the pavement.Inside there's nothing to get in the way of performance driving. The rear seats have been removed to make way for the roll cage and tubbed rear end. The front seats are classic and comfortable Mustang buckets. As the driver, you get the grippy Grant GT sports steering wheel. Beyond that is a full set of digital gauges that look cool, but more importantly, give a precise readout about what's going on in this performance machine. To complete this go-fast interior, there's B&M ratchet shifter. While this all looks like it's completely built for performance, there is one concession a thumpin' Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo. It's pushing enough power out of its subwoofer that you'll probably still be able to hear your tunes while tearing up the quarter-miles.What you really want to know about this Mustang is what's living under that beastly hood. It's a big-block Ford V8. The block started out life as a 1970 Lincoln 460 cubic-inch motor, but two years ago this car was completely rebuilt, and the motor went back to square one to get serious performance upgrades. It has been stroked to 522 ci, and had goodies installed such as Bullet roller camshaft, forged crank, Mahle pistons, H-beam connecting rods, and TBM stainless steel valves. This monster motor inhales deeply through a Holley Dominator four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Victor intake, and it exhales with some serious authority through performance headers on its way to the dual exhaust. The total package is estimated to make up to 850 hp. Getting all this power to the ground requires the best components, including a C4 three speed automatic transmission with reverse manual valve body setup and stall converter, a stout nine-inch FORD rear end, and a 4.10 final ratio. So yes, this package is built for serious power takeoffs. But power is nothing without control. That's why this has been given a Rod & Custom coilover rack and pinion front suspension, and four-link coilover rear. Plus, there's a four-wheel Wilwood disc brake package that's backed up by those huge Mickey Thompson tires. This is the new drag king that's so freshly built there's only 220 miles on it since completion. This has the look of the ultimate classic Mustang, but the attitude and power to eat up modern machines. Call today!!
