1966 Ford F100 Truck - Great Builder!
Description
Excellent 1966 F100 for restoration or street rod. This truck is 99% rust free! In fact, I do not see any rust through metal. The drivetrain is the standard 352 with an original automatic transmission. It runs and drives nicely. It is a well-optioned truck, as seen in the photos. I have owned 10 of these trucks and this is one of the nicest unrestored trucks I've seen.
Here's a run down by category:
Drive-train: runs good but could use a tune-up. No noticeable fluid leaks other than a small valve cover leak. No noises or unusual sounds. The muffler (which appears to be original) needs replacement. The transmission shifts like it should and has a small leak (nothing major). Please don't ask if it can drive cross-country, as I would never hazard a guess on a 51 year old vehicle.
Exterior: Body is in very good shape. Paint is poor but no major dents, and as mentioned before, no rust!! There is one dent on the hood (see pic), in the same place I see on many trucks this vintage. There is one ding on a side trim piece but overall, the aluminum on this truck looks really good. There was a canopy of this truck for most of its life, which is why the bed looks so good...no dents, no rust!
Tires: have good tread but show signs on weather. Should be replaced soon. Wheel covers are off a later model Ford truck, some of the covers are in poor condition.
Glass: there is a chip in the windshield and a crack on one of the wing windows. Otherwise, glass is good.
Interior: good overall condition. The original seat shows signs of wear on the drivers side...yes, that's the original seat and fabric! Door panels look good and are complete. The dash pad has a crack but in overall good condition. The headliner is complete but shows age. This is an amazingly complete and unmolested interior.
Other: the truck is equipped with two saddle tanks (see bedside pics) with a switch inside the cab. The truck is also equipped with a trailer braking system (see interior pics).
Non-functioning items: this truck will need some tinkering. The brake lights and horn are not working. I am certain there are other accessories that will need some attention. Please realize this truck is being listed as an ideal restoration candidate.....NOT already restored.
Title: clean Washington state title with no issues. Scanned image of title available upon request.

This is a very solid restoration candidate. It is rare to find a truck as straight, rust-free, well-optioned and unmolested as this F100. You won't regret buying this truck!
