1963 Galaxie XL500 Convertible 406 Tripower Real deal "G" code

Description

The real deal!! G Code 406/405hp - 4 Speed convertible! A short run of these cars existed before they made the 427 cars. These were hot in the day and most were hardtops. Which makes this one a pretty rare car indeed. The car has been off the road since 73 and has been in dry storage since.
The floors are in good condition. it does have some spots in the sides as you can see in the pictures, but very restorable for sure. This interior itself is in great condition considering everything else however plan on replacing most of the soft stuff because of age.
We do not suspect that the engine is original. It appears to be a 390 that someone took the top off of and let it set. It does however have the 4 speed transmission and all the linkage still in the car. I have located all the EXPENSIVE Ford tri-power stuff including the linkage and cast iron headers. I was in the process of locating the engine when I decided to move onto other unfinished projects.
This car will need a complete restoration, but all the hard parts (minus the engine) are here. You just don't find these everyday and when it came available I bought it. However, It's so far down on my "to do" list I'm afraid I wont ever get to it. I'm focusing on my 59 retractable project now and it's a shame to just see it in my way.
