1993 Geo Tracker
Description
Up forsale is my 1993 Geo Tracker
I purchased this Tracker as a project caras it was virtually nothing but a shell of a car when I found it. I spent quite a bit of time andmoney on it over the past 3 years and while it wasfairly easy andenjoyable to work on it, I've decided it is time to let it go for someone else's enjoyment (Isimply don't have much time or room in the garage for it anymore).
Since owning this Tracker, I have either replaced the following items myself or had my local shop replace them:
- Engine - after owning the car for almost 1 year, the engine blew a head gasket and got hot and warped the piston. I searched and searched around for an engine with less than 100,000 miles and found one at a salvage yard. According to the salvage yard, this engine had 79,000 miles on the rusted body - I had it shipped and professionally installed and has been running like a champ for the past 2 years. No smoke, no tapping, runs strong (for a 1.6, 8 valve engine, that is).
- New tires - less than 3,000 miles on them
- New starter
- New Heater Core
- 2 new window regulators (both drivers and passengers side)
- New shocks on rear
- New R wheel bearing
- New wires, water pump, belts, timing belt
- Hitch & trailer wiring
- Replaced speedometer cable
- New a/c evaporator
The undercarriage is in very good condition - no rust on the frame. There is some overspray on a few areas where the body was painted at one time. Included with this auction are 4 alloy wheels (see last picture in listing) that I acquired from a friend. There is very good tread on the 4 additional tires.
Please ask all questions before bidding. Vehicle is sold "as-is". You are welcome to and encouraged to view vehicle before bidding. Vehicle is located in Bruceton Mills, WV (not far from Morgantown, WV). Vehicle is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to withdraw auction if it sells before the auction ends.
