Description

REAL DEAL 1952 GMC USA MILITARY SHORT BOX HALF TON TRUCK!
THIS TRUCK SERVED FOR THE MEAD, NEBRASKA ORDINANCEPLANT AFTER WW2, MUST HAVE BEEN A BASE RUN AROUND TRUCK!
I cant find any information about 3100 truck in the military, i cant find any other trucks on the internet, this truck was probably commissioned by the army from gmc direct, the vin number gives that away by the short number ( P31407) truck has all the right markings ie, firewall, dash, doors, and front fender numbers. this truck has a clear title!!
overall condition is normal to above normal, front clip is nice, has some damage on top of drivers fender, grille has a few creases, the cab is decent, no rust mice piss rust above the windshield, needs front floor pans and side kicks, and lower cab corners, the box is in great shape, a little rust along the front header, where the wood was, the motor ran 20 years ago and is complete enogh i believe it, i cannot turn by hand, which means nothing, i think it will break free fine and run, i would soak and try, pull it or pull starter and work flywheel over, the trucks speedometer only shows 4900 miles, and last tagged in 72, the trucks previous owner was from mead nebraska where the ordanance plant was.. the pedal wear is minimal, its possable its 4900 mile truck but you be the judge, it probably wasnt drove much on base, and depending how long it was on base, it is possable it is a 4900 truck, which is all good, but means nothing depending on ehat you would like to do with the truck, possablilities are endless keep original and drive, s10 swap?? whatever. i put it on some 16" rim roller wheels the truck looks square, and has a nice stock stance.
You will not find another quite like this one, the look, patina, military heritage, short box half ton... would make a killer ride no matter what you want to do.

I HAVE THE ORIGINAL REAR BUMPER, IT WAS SAGGING SO I YANKED IT TO LOOK BETTER, FORGOT TO TAKE A PIC, ITS IN NICE SHAPE.
had a question about original rims, they were shot, the truck sat for 20 some odd years, i took the tires off a few but the bead rust was to bad to try and use, kinda bummed me out, so i found these rims and had some 16" rubber laying around and it worked out, the front rims, are not completely seated on hub, the rim hole is a little smaller, could be machined out no problem, if you wanted to use, but there just good looking rollers in my opinion.
