This ain't your soccer run kind of SUV. This classic 1969 GMC Suburban is on a full air ride suspension; has a big 454 V8 under the hood; and is dripping with the kind of cool that only comes with the best custom classics. The paintwork on this is amazing. This appears for be this Suburban's real patina that's been sealed and glossed under new clearcoat. Add in full custom pinstriping, cool speed shop signage, moon hubcaps, whitewall tires, and this custom build runs such an irresistible aura with its hot/rat rod attitude. The funny part is, this can easily be a practical family vehicle, considering its carry-all size and curb side rear passenger door. Of course your fishing buddies will be more impressed than the PTA members when you drop the air bag suspension down low on demand. The interior is exactly what you'd expect from this classic custom build. There's more patina, and pinstriping, inside where the same exterior green is the main color. The driver gets a cool custom wood-rimmed chrome steering wheel. Plus there's a shift knob so vibrantly green, it looks like it can glow in the dark. The original factory gauge setup looks pristine, and below that is a crisp set of auxiliary gauges set in a chrome surround. But once again the practical side creeps in a bit here. You can see the front and rear tan vinyl benches look good, and are plenty spacious. Everyone gets the kind of legroom that is a road trip dream. The rear cargo area is done in cool reclaimed wood, and it's so cavernous that there is still plenty of room to carry whatever you want even with the custom toolbox in place, that neatly hides the Ridetech air ride components. So, you'll have no trouble dropping the tailgate at the next event to use this as the coolest tailgater ever.A car is not a real hot rod without major power, and this one doesn't disappoint. Lift the hood and see Chevy's big-block 454 V8. It looks great with all the aggressively black and red Chevrolet Performance dress up pieces, but there is some serious substance beneath it. This motor is upgraded with an Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition, and long tube headers. It makes a throaty rumble out of the new dual exhaust with performance x-pipe design. It's mated to a five-speed manual transmission, which is always great to control power, but it's also quite nice for highway cruising (see that practical side creep in again!) Even those whitewall tires are wide and expensive BF Goodrich Silvertowns for excellent grip. This is the custom build that looks cool everywhere it goes, and can carry everything you need. You could use this for a great promotional tool for your business (what great signage), as your classic cruiser, or to pal around with your friends to car shows.
