This 1968 GMC 4WD Conventional Cab wideside 3/4 ton (built at the Pontiac MI plant) has 26.7k miles on it.
It began as a Utility unit at a New Castle County DE fire station as a stock pickup. It was later sold to the Port Penn DE FD who made in into a monster brush fire truck that was used to run up and down the banks of the C&D Canal. In 1996 it was retired and sold to it’s present owner, a private collector who has used it as a show truck winning many awards at car shows across the Northeast. It has been featured in several publications as well.
The truck was updated with a Chevy 305 V8 w/Edelbrock intake, 4bbl carb w/electric choke. Chevy turbo 350 trans mated up with a Hurst slap shifter and a New Process 305 transfer case.

The front and rear axles are are from a Dodge 1 ton military APC
The fire pump in the back is intact but non operational. It has brand new 15/42-16.5 tires on it and comes complete with the fire hoses, indian tanks, lights, siren, and original FD radio.
