GMC Suburban
Description
1978 3/4 TonGMC Suburban. Runs great, drives great. I drive this truck 120 to 160 miles every week. Body is not perfect as the pictures reflect but not much body work to repaint. I personally like the way it looks. I have driven it for two years and chose to leave it as is. It has a 350 from a late 80s Chevy van.It was a throttle body engine but it now has a Edelbrock aluminum intake and a Quadrajet carb. The transmission is astrong shifting turbo 400. The rear is a 14 bolt and it is a Trailering Special. Great tow rig. The interior is very clean but shows its age. The carpet is clean but fragile. The headliner needs replaced but it comes with tan fabric to do it. The dash has four cracks in it and the door panels show sun damage. This truck does not leak oil or transmission fluid. It does have a small leak in the power steering pump, I top it off once a month. It does not have an A/C compressor but it has all the lines, brackets, and the rearblower that works fine. The floor pans are solid. The rockers are solid but have a couple small spots of surface rust....nothing major. The rust is mainly in the front fenders and the right rear quarter panel. A couple small spots inside the rear wheel well. The front tires only have a few thousand miles on them, the rear ones are older and will need replaced in the near future. They have good tread but are getting hard to balance. They vibrate a little between 65 and 70 mph. It comes with a set of 16" factory steel wheels without tires on them. You can drive this truck anywhere and not worry about it. It gets around 13 mpg and has plenty of power to be as big as it is. The reserve price is set very low.
