Description

Up for auction is a 1957 GMC 100 ½ Ton Factory NAPCO 4 wheel drive. Truck has the original 347 Pontiac V8, 4 sp manual and Napco 4 wheel drive long box.

Napco (Northwestern Auto Parts Company) had a power pack kit available so dealers could convert a 2 wheel drive truck into a 4 wheel.

1957 GMC had a unique front grill made only one year. 1957 was the first year for Factory installed Napco 4 wheel drive. Based on the VIN tag MGW of 5600 lbs, we believe this Truck is a factory 4 wheel drive. MGW on the normal ½ ton was normally 5000 lbs.

Truck has a driver quality presentation. Other than the paint and alternator update, the truck is original.

The paint is about 20 years old. At that time the inside cab steps and front fenders were repaired and new cab corners were installed.

Cab corners, Bottom of the doors, Box and rear fenders are solid.

Wood Oak bed was replace some time ago and is in good condition, just recently resealed.

Truck has all new glass, windshield and weather stripping.

Bottom of Driver side doorskin and the top of fenders by the antenna is starting to bubble see pictures.
