Restored 1990 GMC K1500 Stepside SLE 4x4
same owner since 1993-2015
Complete, one-of-a-kind, stunning restoration from 1997-2000, spending over $18,000 in the frame-off, and another $16,000 spent in parts and materials.
The body has been stripped to bare metal, as well as the frame. A total of 497 hours was spent & billed out on the body, paint, chassis and drive train components.
At the time of restoration a cowl hood, fender flares, windshield visor, smoothed-in roll pan and frenched-in antenna (power) were added.
The engine compartment is completely detailed and painted as nice as the exterior, braided hoses and chrome flex hoses were used.
The engine is a crate 350 V8/300hp with:
-Edelbrock fuel injection
-street/strip cam
-ceramic coated headers w/true dual exhaust
The transmission, is the stock 5-speed manual.
The front & rear axles are the stock 3:08 gearing.
The suspension is all new with polyurethane bushings and front end components, the rear suspension has new rear leaf springs & all associated hardware. Fab Tec ladder bars were also added. Trail master shocks are new as well.
The radiator is a Be-Cool 4 core aluminum with dual electric fans.
A 3-inch lift clears room for the 33X14.50 Mickey Thompson Baja belted tires mounted on 15X12 Mickey Thompson Aluminum wheels.
