1950 gmc pick up resto mod
Description
This 1950 GMC was restored a couple years ago and has been driven through the summers since with zero problems. Drive it home from here with complete confidence. As long as it's not snowing that is.
It started out solid and strait when torn down to the frame to get the four link triangulated rear suspension with coil overs and front end based on mustang II with power rack and pinion and disc brakes. Also has a Camaro gas tank mounted in the back. It runs and drives excellent. Sounds cool too with dual exhaust.
The engine, transmission and rear end came from a mid 70s Camaro. The 350 had been rebuilt before I got it with flat top pistons and a mild cam.The interior has a leather seat with armrest cup holder and flips for storage and seatbelts with shoulder belt. There is also vintage air brand a/c and heat that needs finishing. The compressor is installed so far.The gauges work except the needle broke off the speedo. It worked fine before that, odometer still turns.
The body is very strait and original sheet metal. Of course there have been a few patches welded in considering its age. It has DuPont hot rod black paint with a couple small blemishes due to actually being used instead of sitting in a garage its whole life.
The bed has wood in it that needs a little attention but still looks decent. The logo on the doors can be removed if you want or not. Your choice. The truck has been appraised at $23,000
