This auction offers my 1956 GMC NAPCO 4x4 pickup truck. It is complete and has amazing patina. It has been a California truck all of its life until I bought it and shipped it to Virginia where it has been in dry storage. It has the vintage NAPCO 4x4 conversion which makes this a very rare and desirable truck. Please view the pictures carefully. I have a clear Virginia title in my name. The Good:
California truck, solid for its age, appears to have been undercoated long ago
NAPCO conversion, 4x4
Desirable large window cab
V8 conversion
Smith Warner tachometer
Rare year-specific oem “jet” hood emblem
New vintage-look tires, including spare
New battery
New correct gas tank and fuel gauge sender
Freshly reupholstered bench seat
Rare bed-mount winch, original bed wood under the plywood
Complete
The Bad:
Needs someone to spend a Saturday morning going through the plugs and wires, getting spark, tidying up engine bay. Truck turns over but is not firing now. It has run this summer.
Needs brakes
Some typical rust, some rust in cab roof due to fallen leaves
Hood opens and closes, but the hinge is loose on one side
Again, not running now but will run. Needs brakes.
Inspections welcome prior to bidding. View the pictures carefully and consider them part of the description. This is a NO RESERVE auction . . . high bidder is the new owner. I am happy to work with your shipper. I am only selling this GMC to free up some garage space. Put your shop logo on the side and you’ve got an amazing shop truck. Or take it to shows and watch spectators ignore the $100K builds to check out your truck! Or do a complete frame-off restoration if you like. Buyer pays shipping. Thanks and good luck!
