Description

O, I am going to go ahead and restore this truck if I dont get any action here on Ebay.It is an original 68 GMC shortbox 4x4. All vin numbers and tags prove it is factory original 4x4 short box 8 cyl four speed. it now has a 6 cyl in it.I do not have a lot of photos because its not at my home right now but sitting in Syracuse NY at a friends house. Just testing the waters for now. I had it shipped up from Florida and will sell it now in the US or bring it up to Ottawa Ontario where I would probably do the restoration. These older models are very easy to restore and every single item is available at LMC truck or used on the internet. This truck does not have a box and the cab is very rusted out.... will need replaced. Ideal rebody candidate. You are buying the chassis and vin numbers. Or if you have a half decent shortbox body to sell I would like to hear from you. I only want 67 or 68 gmc or chev body.Cabs are not too difficult to acquire and install. Boxes for short box trucks are hard to find in good shape but they are out there. I found a few used ones but a new box from LMC is easy and affordable. The frame and running gear is all there and has no issues with rust but this truck is a non runner and looks to have been sitting for years. It now has a 6cyl in it. However I do have several small block chev motors from late 60's that I will give a great deal to the buyerS, if you want a good project that will not break the bank and want to end up with a very very rare truck this might be for you. Take a look online and try and find a 67 or 68 4x4 shorty original with vin numbers to prove it. And not a shortened long box frame...I doubt you will find one and if you do its not priced like this one.1969 and up are a lot more abundant.I am not needing a fortune for the truck but I will fix it myself if the offers aren't adequate. It has a good florida title now for US purchaser or I will get a good Canadian registration if I import it to Canada. If it goes to Canada add 550 to the selling price and I will get it to Ottawa Ontario
