1972 GMC 1500 short bed stepside
Description
This is a running but not drivable 1972 GMC pickup. It will drive onto a trailer. The truck does have rust that is why it is as cheap as it is. It will need rockers, cab corners, and floor pans and will need some floor brace repair, just like most of these trucks. Haven't seen any rust holes above the windshield (inside or out) or on top of the firewall or on the cowl. There is some surface rust around the master cylinder but I haven't seen any holes, it looks like the brake fluid may have leaked or been spilled and taken the paint off. There are a few other holes here and there the truck is NOT rust free. If you are concerned about rust this isn't the truck for you. If you are looking for a good start for a restoration project or a classic truck to work on a little and drive like it is, this may be the truck for you. There are no titles in Alabama for vehicles this old but it has a current registration and tag in my name. I have driven it around the yard but the brakes are weak and I think it will need a carburetor rebuild it's been sitting a long time. It has a 350 decal under the hood and in the glove box but I haven't checked the numbers on the engine, I believe it is a 350 but no guarantee. I'm selling it as a V-8 automatic. The engine runs pretty good and the transmission goes in gear good. I'm not sure about the mileage it is exempt . Please ask any questions BEFORE you bid. Again this truck does have rust. It is being sold 100% AS IS WHERE IS if you get it home and don't like it, sell it . I would recommend anyone buying a vehicle this old coming and looking in person before bidding. Thanks for looking. I reserve the right to end this listing early due to it being listed locally.
